Beginning Rigid Heddle One-Day Workshop

Class Description
Teacher: Carly Jayne
Course: One 4 to 5 hour session
First class limited to 4 students
Jump into rigid heddle weaving! Students will learn to select yarn colors and weave a 10 inch wide sampler scarf. Students will learn to hemstitch, tie on new colors of weft yarn and wet finish their final piece. Final scarf will be finished outside of class.
Skill Level: Beginner
Please Bring: Rigid Heddle loom (any width), 7.5, 8, or 10 dent heddle, sleying hook, and 2 stick shuttles about 8 to 12 inches long.
Packing paper and handouts provided by instructor.
Time at the beginning of class will be allowed for purchasing a suitable yarn. (Sample shown in Rios Solidos Chaja and Rios Volcan.)
If you need to add a loom rental for your class, we do offer 2-week loom rentals which work great for this class. Options include: The Sample It Loom and the Knitter's Loom. Rentals are limited.
