Class Description

Course: Two 1.5-hour sessions
3 to 5 students
This is the perfect next class for a student who has mastered knits and purls and wants to do more, or for anyone who wants to learn how to knit in the round. In the first week we will focus on the differences between knitting flat and in the round, and the tips and tricks for not getting tangled up or twisted. Students will cast on their hat. In the second session we cover the shaping and finishing that turns your tube into a hat.
Pattern will be provided in class
Skill Level: Students must be comfortable knitting and purling and have some experience reading a pattern.
Materials: Worsted weight yarn; US size 6 36 or 40-inch circular needles and US size 8 36 or 40-inch circular needles.
You can sign up to bring your own materials, or you can choose to include appropriate yarn and materials in your class purchase. If you purchase materials as part of class, you will be able to choose from available colors at the beginning of your class. The yarn that will be included is Galway Worsted from Plymouth Yarn.
