Class Description
Ever wanted to learn embroidery but don't know where to start? Join April aka GrassBat to learn some simple stitches that will create bold outlines and solid fills to let your creativity run wild!
Students will learn about the tools of the craft as well as some beginner stitches and begin constructing an embroidery piece together in class. Students will leave class with an understanding of basic stitches and a strong start on their project.

Skill Level: This class is perfect for the complete beginner!
Materials: Students can bring their own materials or a starter pack can be purchased from the instructor for $20 (paid via cash or Venmo at the beginning of class to April). Materials cannot be separated from the pack and purchased individually. If you opt out of purchasing a starter pack, below are the materials you will need to bring with you for the class.
Materials include:
- 2 pieces of 6 x 6 inch white or off white piece of muslin fabric. Please do not select any other colors even if they’re a lighter color.
- Scissors (tiny embroidery scissors work best but regular scissors are okay)
- Sewing needle and a way to safely transport it
- 4 x 4 inch bamboo/wooden hoop, no plastic hoops.
- Water erasable pen or a regular pencil
- 3 skeins of DMC thread. One color must be black, the other 2 colors are up to the student
