This class is intended for an advanced beginners who are ready to move beyond knits and purls. In this one, easy to complete project, students will learn how to cast on and knit in the round on double pointed needles, how to work basic cables, work a lace pattern involving simple increases and decreases, and how to read a chart. And you’ll knit a totally adorable owl coffee cozy!
Pattern will be provided in class.
Skill Level: Students must be comfortable knitting and purling and
familiar with basic increases and decreases.
Materials: 40 yds worsted weight yarn; Set of 4 US size 8 double point needles; Stitch markers; Cable needle (or buy one in class after discussing the different types
available.); 2 small buttons
You can sign up to bring your own materials, or you can choose to include appropriate yarn and materials in your class purchase. If you purchase materials as part of class, you will be able to choose from available colors at the beginning of your class. The yarn that will be included is Galway Worsted from Plymouth Yarn.
