Gemini Beanie Kit

Kits will be available starting March 6th, 2025. 

The 2025 Rose City Yarn Crawl’s theme is Our Sky Full of Stars. Fiber Rhythm Craft & Design chose Gemini as the constellation we wanted to work with. Representing the twins and duality, our patterns use double-sided techniques which make these beanies completely reversible.

Our yarn choice is Malabrigo's Silky Merino, a lovely, luxurious yarn. Our shop patterns again this year are designed by owner, Dawn Seymour, and create similar beanies whether knit or crochet. 

Each kit has enough yarn to make one beanie. If you chose to crochet the largest size, you will need to purchase one additional skein of the main color.

Each kit consists of:

• Two skeins of Malabrigo Silky Merino.
  • One in Azul Profundo (Main color)
  • One in Cape Cod Gray (Contrast color)
• Printed Knit pattern - Gemini - Castor
• Printed Crochet pattern - Gemini - Pollux

​Fiber: 51% Silk, 49% Merino
Care: Hand Wash, cold water
Ball Size: 50 grams (1.76 ounces) and 150 yards (137 meters)
Yarn Weight: #3 Light Weight, DK
Gauge:
    Knit: 28 sts/36 rows over 4” on US 4 (3.5 mm) in Stockinette Stitch
    Crochet: 21 sts and 24 rows= 4" in single crochet using size #E/3.5mm crochet hook

Knit Pattern uses US 4/3.5mm double pointed knitting needles 

Crochet patten uses US 8/5mm Tunisian hook (long enough to work an 8" wide scarf) and US D/3.25mm crochet hook.
