Susan Plack is a retired public school educator who has incorporated the fiber arts into her elementary school classroom for 20 years. With the help of friends, she has taught over 500 5th graders how to spin yarn. Her personal focus is on making functional items that recipients will love and use through spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, felting, dyeing, and/or embroidery. Susan started spinning over 45 years ago because she wanted everything in a project to be made by her hands. The fiber arts have been the thread that has connected Susan to her family, friends, and students throughout her life.
NOTE: Susan will be temporarily unavailable from October through November, 2025 and her September time slots are full. Please check back here or call the shop to be updated when her classes will resume. 09/03/25
