Class Description
These introductory Machine knitting lessons are done on either the Silver Reed LK150 (a mid-gauge machine) or on the Silver Reed SK280 (a standard-gauge punch card machine) that we have in our Craft Space. Let us know in the order comments which type of machine you are interested in learning on. Lessons can be tailored to student's needs. We can cover what first-time machine knitters need to know to slightly more advanced topics.
Private one-on-one lessons. In-person at Fiber Rhythm. Machine Knitting Lessons are set up in 2-hour increments.
Materials provided. You do not need to bring anything to class unless you want to try out one of your own yarns. If your yarn is not suitable, we will revert to acrylic yarn we keep in-house for classes and testing.
If you have your own machine and it is in working order, you are welcome to bring it to class and we can either teach on it, or highlight the differences between your machine and ours. If you machine needs some TLC we will revert to our own machine for the class. If you plan on doing this, you should let us know in advance via email.
Please use the date-picker to choose the date and time you would like to have your lesson. Your confirmation will have a link that you can use to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations will be refunded if completed at least one week prior to your scheduled date.
