
Sock Knitting - Part 2 - Heels

Skill Level: Intermediate Knitting
Lesson: one 1.5 hour session. This class is taught as a private one-on-one lesson, or you can sign up your friends at the same time and create a private group class for a discounted price. Class limited to 5 students.
- Review of elements of sock construction
- Measuring leg length for desired fit
- We will make a heel using a heel flap technique
- Learn about 3 options for heel flap (EOP, S1K1, reinforced heel)
- Learn wrap and turn for turning the heel
- Gusset construction
- Transitioning to foot of sock
- Bring a your sock project (knitted cuff and desired leg length to beginning of heel-- usually between 3 and 7 inches)
- Set of DPN needles that you knitted the sock on so far.
- Darning needle.
