Time: One 3-hour session
Capacity: 3-5 students
Are you curious to kick your knitting skills up a notch? Already know how to knit and purl — and perhaps knit in the round — and want to add some pizzazz to your knitwork?
This simple Fair Isle hat will get you hooked on working with two (or more) colors and is easy to learn. This is an in-person, pre-scheduled group class taking place at Fiber Rhythm Craft and Design.
During 3 hours of class time, you will learn how to:
- Knit with 2 different color yarns and carry floats
- Read knitting charts
- Decrease stitches
Prerequisite techniques: You must already know how to knit and purl, and ideally how to knit in the round.
Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn: approx. 112 yd (103m) in main color AND approx. 33 yd (30.2m) in complimentary color
- US size 5 (3.75mm) DPNs or 16" circular needle
- US size 8 (5mm) DPNs and 16" circular needles
- Stich marker
