Looking for ideas for quick but cute and handy gifts? And learn a new skill? Learn cabling while you make this fun cup cozy to spiff up your hot to go beverages.

In this class you will learn a basic cable, the foundation for an endless variety of other cables.

You will want to make more after you complete your first one.

Prerequisite techniques: Cast on, knit, purl, and knit in the round on double-pointed needles.

Materials Needed:

• Set of DPNs appropriate for your yarn
• Worsted or DK weight yarn (25 g is usually enough, so browse your stash of remnants from other projects)

Optional:

• Darning needle
• 2 buttons for eyes (instructor will have a selection available)
• Embroidery floss and needle if you want to stitch on a beak, or other thin yarn
• Needle and thread to sew on eyes (although you may want to do this at home if you need more time to finish the project)
