Advanced Inkle Weaving - Pickup Group Class

Are you ready to take your inkle weaving to the next level? Discover the fun of weaving bands using pickup. With pickup you can create custom patterns including letters and numbers. At the end of this 3-hour class, the student will have woven two short 3-color bands, one with a custom design, and the other with letters and numbers. Inkle looms will be provided for use during class time only.

This class assumes you know the basics of warping your loom and weaving a simple band. At the end of this class you’ll know how to weave a strap with designs made using a pick-up technique.

Please Bring: Something for taking notes as needed. Note: If you want to bring your own loom to class, please let us know in advance. You will need to bring your loom, at least 24 heddles, and one shuttle.

Provided by teacher: Yarns, basic instructions

Materials cost: $5 (payable to the teacher by cash, check, or Venmo). This is in addition to class cost.
