Darning and Reweaving - Private Lesson

Darning and Reweaving - Private Lesson

Teacher: Elise Webb
Skill Level: Intermediate (see description)
Time: One 2-hour session

A woven darn is a useful mend for almost any fabric type. Come learn how to make this classic mend and extend the life of your cherished woven textiles. We’ll focus on making mends that are subtle or nearly invisible as we talk about the similarities and differences between “darning” and “reweaving” and practice both methods.

No weaving or sewing experience is required; however, this is a fairly technical class that would not be suited for young children or those who are just taking their first steps into the crafting world.

All practice tools and materials will be provided in this hands-on class. However, feel free to bring in your own damaged items as well. We won’t fix them in class, but we’ll examine them and make sure you have the proper skills to mend them at home.

Materials Fee: $5 materials fee per student is due to the instructor at time of class.

TO BOOK: Select the number of students first, and then book your class time. This class is taught as a private one-on-one lesson, or you can sign up your friends at the same time and create a private group class for a discounted price. Class limited to 6 students.

Your booking confirmation (a separate email from your purchase transaction) will include a calendar invite. The email also includes links to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations will be refunded if completed at least one week prior to your scheduled date. Rescheduling or cancelling applies to the entire group that you have signed up for at the same time.
