Tunisian crochet combines the look of knit with the power of crochet! In this class, you will learn how to cast on, make Tunisian simple, knit, and purl stitches, and bind off while making a sampler swatch. We will also take a look at several finished Tunisian crochet projects to give you ideas of where to go next.
Prerequisite techniques: Must already be familiar with basic crochet chains and stitches (single, double).
Materials Needed:
- Size 4/worsted yarn of choice (approx. 100 yds)
- Size US K (6.5mm) Tunisian crochet hook
- Size US K (6.5mm) traditional crochet hook
Note: If you are unable to source a Tunisian crochet hook (sometimes called an afghan hook), these techniques can still be taught using a traditional short crochet hook.
